Most of the pain people have with bookkeeping software comes from the first fortnight: a chart of accounts that does not match the business, bank feeds not connected, VAT settings left on the default. Which package should we use?
It depends on how you invoice, whether you hold stock, how many people need access and what your bank supports. We will ask about how the business actually runs before recommending anything, and we are not tied to one product.
Can you move us from spreadsheets?
Yes, and it is one of the most common jobs we do. We take your opening balances, set the system up to match your business, and run the two in parallel briefly if that helps you trust it.
How long does training take?
Most people need one session of an hour or two to get going, then a shorter follow-up once they have used it for a few weeks and know what to ask. Sessions are one to one, not a classroom.
Do we have to be an Onyx client?
The one-to-one session comes as part of signing up to the software through Onyx. If you just want training on a system you already have, ask us and we will tell you whether we can help.
